Buying a decent USB microphone costs 2000 PKR rupees at minimum, and the cheap ones sound worse than a phone call. But the phone in your pocket already has a better mic than most budget headsets. WO Mic is a free tool that turns it into a working PC microphone for Discord, Zoom, OBS, or in-game voice chat.
I set this up on my own PC and tested both connection methods. Here is exactly what to do, plus the two errors almost everyone hits.
What you need
- An Android phone (WO Mic also has an iPhone app, but I tested on Android)
- A Windows PC
- A USB cable, or both devices on the same WiFi network
Step 1: Install the three pieces
WO Mic needs three things installed, and skipping the second one is the most common reason it "doesn't work."
- WO Mic app on your phone. Get it from the Play Store.
- WO Mic client on your PC. Download it from the official site, wolicheng.com. Do not download it from random "free software" sites, they bundle junk with it.
- The virtual device driver on your PC. This is a separate download on the same page. It creates the fake "microphone" that Windows sees. Without it, the client connects but no mic appears in Windows.
Restart the PC after installing the driver.

Step 2: Choose your connection method
USB is the best option. Lowest delay, no dependence on your WiFi. The catch: you must enable USB debugging on the phone. Go to Settings, About phone, tap Build number seven times to unlock Developer options, then turn on USB debugging inside Developer options.
WiFi is the easy option. No cable, no developer settings. Phone and PC must be on the same network. Expect slightly more delay than USB.

On the phone, open WO Mic, tap the settings gear, pick your transport (USB or WiFi), then press play to start.
On the PC, open the WO Mic client, go to Connection, Connect, and select the same transport. For WiFi, type the IP address the phone app shows on its screen. For USB, it should detect the phone directly if debugging is on.
When it connects, it show connected in mobile top center.
Step 4: Make Windows use it
Right click the speaker icon in the taskbar, open Sound settings, and under Input select the WO Mic device as your microphone. In Discord, Zoom, or OBS, go into that app's own audio settings and pick the WO Mic device there too, because some apps do not follow the Windows default.

The two problems you will probably hit
"No WO Mic device in Windows." You installed the client but not the virtual driver. Go back to Step 1, install the driver, restart.
NO Connecting Issue. sometime I see no connecting Issue to fix this just chack your ip on pc or mac and verify on mobile.
