💻 Day 4 Blog Post – How to Speed Up a Slow PC in 2025

Is your computer running slow? 😩 Don’t worry — it happens to almost everyone after some time. The good news is you don’t always need to buy a new PC. With the right steps, you can make your system faster and smoother.

🔹 1. Remove Unnecessary Startup Programs

When Windows starts, too many background apps slow it down.

Press Ctrl + Shift + Esc → Go to Task Manager → Startup → Disable apps you don’t need.

🔹 2. Uninstall Useless Software

Old or unused software takes up space and memory.

Open Control Panel → Programs & Features → Uninstall what you don’t use.

🔹 3. Clean Up Storage

A full hard drive = a slow PC.

Use Disk Cleanup or tools like CCleaner to free space.

Move large files (videos, games) to an external drive or cloud.

🔹 4. Update Windows & Drivers

Updates fix bugs and improve performance.

Go to Settings → Update & Security → Check for updates.

Also update GPU drivers (NVIDIA, AMD, Intel) for better gaming speed.

🔹 5. Add More RAM or Switch to SSD

If your PC is still slow after cleaning, the best upgrade is adding more RAM or changing to an SSD. An SSD makes even an old PC feel brand new.

✅ Quick Tip: Restart your computer at least once a week. It clears temporary files and refreshes memory.
